Bradford Beach
Winter Break MKE kicked off its second annual event at Bradford Beach Saturday February 8, 2025. Organizer Kate Pociask started the event last year as a way to get Milwaukee out and help cure the winter blues. This year the event spans two weekends, so if you missed it Saturday you can catch them this Saturday 12-4pm at Havenwoods State Forest.
It was perfect weather for The Milwaukee Mushers crew of sled dogs to toe out and about bringing awareness to the group and hosting demos, bon fires along the beach, s’mores, and hot tea.
Less ideal, given the slow rolling winter storm clouds and frigid water, was a surfing demo by High 5 Surf’s Daniel Dewitt.
