Uncle Wolfies Dinner Diner
Now I had anticipated The Wolf on Broadway for well over a year since the initial announcement and may have not made it in as much as I’d liked, so I’m glad it’s not gone…
In what was an incredibly quick rebrand (I was last in Memorial Day) we now have Uncle Wolfies Dinner Diner! Largely the same inside, you’ll certainly see some touches of the OG on Vine with the likes of “Put an egg on it” & “Beer goes with breakfast” now gracing the walls. I felt right at home with some familiar faces of Nite Wolf there to greet everyone. From what I hear it was a good choice to wait a night - Apparently everyone was knocking down the doors Thursday night.
If you were concerned the Asian influence would be leaving the menu with a diner aesthetic - fear not! You can still catch the ever popular cabbage cups, beef rendang (now hot pocket), and Irma’s chicken. But the best part - you get some Wolfies classics too. The Big McAllister and the BELTCH made the move downtown.
I really love the new feel. A downtown corner diner, just a short stroll from the public market and train station just feels right! There were definitely some leftovers, as it’s tough to order and eat enough to blog by myself - and yes, I did throw an egg on it the next day.
